Senior Electronic Engineer · Curitiba, Brazil

AlexandreSalomão Dias

I take electronics from the first circuit to another team's hands.

Circuit and PCB design, embedded and hardware validation, sensor development, and the project leadership that holds it together. Most engineers are deeply technical or good communicators. I work as the bridge between the two, across countries and in English.

Profile

Open it up, understand it, draw it, hand it over.

As a kid I took apart the blenders, the mixers and the lawn mower just to see what was inside. Today I develop sensors and PCBs for home appliances, and I built the system that tests robotic lawn mowers in the field. The instinct never changed. What grew around it was the range: I can design the circuit, lead the project, and then explain it clearly enough that another team can run it without me.

That range is deliberate. I started in manufacturing process engineering, stabilising production variables and expanding a plating line. I moved to R&D for validation, embedded software and hardware on robotic mowers and battery-powered tools. I engineered circuits and PCBs end to end. I took an MBA in Project Management, with a thesis on risk management in electronic projects, and I now lead new sensor development for a global appliance portfolio.

The part companies worry about when they hire across borders, whether documentation, async work and cross-cultural collaboration will actually hold, is the part I have already done. I built a data acquisition system end to end and transferred it to an engineering team in Germany, including the how-to guides and the weekly ramp-up meetings that made them owners of it.

Electronics and PCB design

Schematic to board in Altium and KiCad. Sensors, battery-powered systems, motor drives (PMSM, FOC), data acquisition.

Product development

Pre-development and innovation, embedded software and hardware validation, durability and standards testing.

Project leadership

MBA in Project Management. Cross-functional coordination across certification, process engineering and quality.

Technology transfer

Documentation, ramp-up cadences and training that let a team in another country own the technology.

Work experience

Four roles. The scope widened at every step.

From stabilising electrical current on a production line to leading sensor development for a global appliance portfolio, with an international technology transfer in between.

R&D Senior Electronic Engineer

Electrolux Group

Global Swedish group developing, manufacturing and distributing household and professional appliances for food preparation, preservation, dishwashing, laundry and cleaning.

  • Project leader for new sensor development, taking concepts from pre-development through prototype and measurement campaigns.
  • Electronics and PCB development across the white goods line, including washing machines, washer-dryers and dishwashers.
  • Building the case for a structured portfolio of emerging sensing technologies, with collaboration between the sensors and AI teams.

R&D Engineer

STIHL Power Tools Ltda

Family-owned German group developing, manufacturing and distributing power tools for agriculture, forestry, landscaping, construction and private garden owners.

  • Led the first international project: a real-time data acquisition system for robotic lawnmower field testing. I managed the project, guided the software team, and engineered the entire circuit and PCB system. It cut 20% of the time spent in failure analysis.
  • Transferred that technology to the German engineering team through step-by-step how-to guides and a weekly ramp-up cadence, until the team was contributing and owning it.
  • Embedded software development and hardware validation for battery-powered tools, plus cross-functional project management with certification, process engineering and quality.
  • Regionalised specification and durability testing for Brazil, cutting shipping costs by 30% and shortening the development cycle by up to 15%.
  • Led a 12-hour electrical and electronics training programme to standardise in-house knowledge.
